| 公募の概要 Content of job information | 社会学部、大学院社会学研究科において、地理学（人文地理学あるいは自然地理学）に関する研究・教育を担当する准教授を募集します。
(1) 研究 地理学（人文地理学あるいは自然地理学）における研究の実施とその成果発表 (2) 教育 ・社会学部３・４年生および大学院社会学研究科の必修ゼミナールの担当 ・博士論文・修士論文・学士論文指導 ・社会学部、および大学院社会学研究科の選択科目の担当（人文地理学総論、人文地理学特論、国際社会開発論、地域研究など） （※担当する授業科目の名称は予定であり、採用者の専門分野によって名称変更されることがあります） (3) 入試関連業務ならびに全学および研究科における各種委員会業務等 We are recruiting an associate professor specializing in geography. (1) Research Undertaking research in geography and related areas and publishing the results. (2) Teaching Teaching compulsory undergraduate (third and fourth grades) and postgraduate seminars. Supervising undergraduate, master’s and doctoral dissertations. Teaching selective subjects. (Introduction to Human Geography, Topics in Human Geography, International Social Development, Area Studies etc.) * The names of the courses are tentative and are subject to change depending on the field of expertise of the selected candidate. | 応募資格 Qualifications | 博士号（Ph.D.）取得者、または取得見込みの者（着任時までに博士号を取得する必要がある）。
(1) 地理学について、人文地理学あるいは自然地理学の方法論を用いて調査研究を行った経験またはそれに相当する能力を有することが望ましい (2) 外国語による学術論文の執筆経験があり、今後も外国語で学術論文を発表していく意欲のある者 (3) 日本語による日常業務（学内の事務的なコミュニケーションなど）の遂行が可能であること Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, or be close to completing one. The doctorate must be awarded before the successful candidate takes up the position. (1) It is desirable to have experience of conducting research of human geography or physical geography, or to be able to demonstrate the equivalent capability. (2) It is desirable to have published academic articles in non-Japanese language, or to be able to demonstrate the equivalent capability. (3) It is required to have sufficient competence in Japanese to function in a Japanese working environment, for example, communicating with administrative staff and reading documents in Japanese. |

| 応募書類 Documents Required for Application | (1) 履歴書（書式は任意、教育歴については担当科目名と期間を含むこと）
(2) 研究業績一覧（著書・論文・学会発表・その他に区分し、査読の有無を明記すること。これまで従事した調査・研究プロジェクト、取得フェローシップ、競争的研究資金獲得歴などがあれば、その名称・期間を研究テーマとともに記入し、代表者・分担者等の別を併記すること。） (3) 主要研究業績3点以内を各１部（著書が含まれる場合、現物ではなく、PDFファイル化したものを提供すること。また、要約が含まれていない場合は、800字以内の日本語で要約を付すこと。） (4) 博士（Ph.D.）学位記のコピー、または博士学位証明書（学位取得見込みの場合は博士課程の修了証明書、あるいは在籍証明書） (5) 着任後の研究計画（2000字程度または英語で800語程度。国際的な査読誌への投稿計画を含むこと。） (6) 「地理学」（学部2年生以上対象の講義科目）のシラバス案（105分×13回分。授業科目の概要、到達目標、13回分のテーマと具体的内容） (7) 照会可能者2名の氏名、所属、連絡先 JREC-IN Portalの「Web応募」で添付できるファイル数は５つまでとなります。上記応募書類をZIPファイルにまとめる、または１つのPDFファイルにまとめるなどして添付してください。 なお、面接時には(6)に基づき模擬講義（英語）を行っていただきます。 Application Materials (in English or Japanese) (1) CV (include titles and dates of any courses you taught) (2) Record of Research Achievements List books, articles, conference presentations, and other publications separately, indicating which works were refereed. Include information on research projects and funding awards, specifying the dates and the names of principal investigators. We may contact you to ask you to submit PDF copies of up to three of your publications. (3) One copy of each of up to three major research achievements (If a book is included, please provide a PDF file rather than the actual book. If a summary is not included, please attach a summary in Japanese of up to 800 characters. (4) Ph.D. Certificate A copy of your Ph.D. certificate or official documentation indicating the current status of your Ph.D. (5) Research Statement A statement about your intended research (approx. 800 words in English or 2,000 characters in Japanese), including plans for submissions to international peer-reviewed journals. (6) Syllabus A syllabus of “Geography” [105 minutes x 13 classes, undergraduate lecture course for 2nd Grade and above], which includes: course overview; aims and objectives; and specific content for each of thirteen classes] (7) References Provide the names, affiliations, job titles, and contact details of two individuals who can provide references. Apply through the JREC-IN web portal by 15 September 2025 (JST). Please note that 5 files or below can be uploaded through the portal, so the above documents will need to be combined into a single file. Also note that applicants invited to an interview will be asked to deliver teaching demonstration of “Geography” based on the syllabus (6) in English. |
| 選考方法 Selection | 一次審査（書類審査）のうえ、二次審査（面接、2025年10月上旬～中旬に実施予定）を行います。
一次審査合格者には、追って面接日時等をお知らせします。なお、旅費等は自己負担となりますのでご了承ください。 Candidates who pass the initial screening (document review) will be interviewed in early to mid October 2025. We will notify all candidates of the result of their application by email. Please note that candidates will be responsible for their own travel expenses. |
