留学生と日本人学生が共に学ぶIntroductory Seminar to Social Research in English（秋冬学期）の履修者募集開始　（7月28日〆切）

6月中に募集を開始するはずでしたが、諸般の事情により募集が遅れ申し訳ありません。
第1回履修者募集を行います。

このクラスは、英語における留学生と日本人学生の間の対面コミュニケーションを重視するため、人数規模を12人とし、両者のバランスを配慮して選抜します。また、秋学期以降は学生のワクチン接種も進み、対面での授業がより支障なく可能になると思えます。
このため事前のレポートと面接による選考を行います。参加を希望する学生は、7月28日午後5時までに下記のレポートを以下のアドレスまで送り、29・30日のいずれかで大学の研究室で、対面で面談を受けるように申し込んでください。（両日とも会えるように調整しますが、事情があり両日とも会えない人は、8月初めに会うことも可能です。またZoomも検討します。）

対象学年： 全学年に開かれているが、教材の水準、留学の準備（日本人）という点から2年生を選考において優先とする。
レポート： 400 – 600 words report in word file
テーマ： 志望動機　この授業のテーマに興味を持った理由、英語を向上させたい理由、日本に留学した理由、等。

もし、7月募集で適切な水準の参加者が十分に集まらない場合は、8月に再募集をして9月7日に面接をして、履修登録に間に合うようにメンバーを決定します。

Call for applicants for Introductory Seminar to Social Research in English: Deadline is July 28.

This is a seminar for both foreign and Japanese students to study and train basics of social sciences in English with a special focus. The class is designed for both types of students to discuss and exchange their perception by focusing on reality of Japan as a multiethnic society.
To facilitate in person communication as well as to prevent infection of COVIT-19, the number of students is limited to 12. The deadline of application for this course is July 28 and please check the procedure in the following page of CELS.

This class is open for students of all years, but the priority is put on students in the second year due to the level of text and for the purpose of studying abroad.
