セミナー概要：This is a report on an ongoing two-year project, which started in September
2001 and is funded by the EU within the 5th Framework Programme. The overall
objective of the project is to identify structural and institutional mechan
isms that exist to maintain certain groups of workers peripheral and margina
lised to segregated labour markets and to investigate the means for their in
tegration. The study will focus on marginalisation regarding gender, ethnici
ty and long-term unemployment in segregated sectors of activity in the EU bo
th in industry and services. The differences and similarities between these
sectors of activity in Britain, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and
Spain, the obstacles to entry and participation, and the means by which mar
ginalised groups have been successfully integrated will be examined.
