1　題目　　現代政治学の理論と方法


２　概要

この授業では、過去二十年間に発展してきた政治学、政治経済学の代表的な理論枠組みを学習する。政治学的な理論枠組み（theoretical framework）を用いて、特定の事例（case）を考察した論文を題材とし、理論を実証するとはどういうことか、最先端の政治学では何が問われているのかを理解すること、それを論文執筆に生かせるようになることが目標である。各回の授業では、教員による解説と、課題文献に関する報告・討議を組み合わせる。


３　到達目標

到達目標は以下の三点である。
(1)英文の標準的な学術論文を読解できるようになること。
(2)現代政治学の代表的な理論枠組みについて理解すること。
(3)理論と実証の関係を正しく認識し、他者の論文内容を批判的に吟味できる能力を身につけること。


４　授業計画

毎回最初に教員が講義を行い、各々の理論の位置づけや特徴について解説する。次に、課題文献について報告者が30分程度で報告を行い、その後全員で、文献で用いられている分析枠組みの妥当性、具体的事例と枠組みとの整合性、分析や結論の妥当性について、批判的な討議を行う。

５　成績評価

報告と討議への参加によって評価する。
上記の到達目標にあわせて、(1)論文の内容を理解できているか、(2)政治学の理論枠組みを理解できているか、(3)内容に関する討議に参加できているか、の三点から評価する。
